Lots of stuff happening today. As you can prolly tell, it's been a very busy week, and not much time to blog. Unless, of course, you're kicked out of your building at 4 am.... Anyhoo, I've been running between work, painting, and guitar, mostly. I've been a little overachiever all week, with the exception of an optional assignment that I didn't finish; I took a nap instead (this was the day after the alarm ^^;)

Oh, by the way, they never did find the source of the smoke that set off the alarm. They DID evacuate both towers, which means that 2000 very pissed off college students were huddled in the food court and Stevenson Hall. I found out what room the fire alarm went off in and the mysterious 'light smoke and burning food smell' originated from...I shall have their heads >:E~~

Gregly, the Rent quote at the top is for you n_n You had some good times with Char, ne? So don't be angry or blame yourself for the bad parts. Just remember that the past is past; lesson learned, school's out, so don't sweat the grade ^_^

Hmm...I don't think I'm making much sense, am I? I guess I am just a firm believer in water under the bridge. I have a hard time holding a grudge against anyone or anything ^^; Except maybe the package center....
So I got a package slip in my mailbox last night. Of COURSE the package center is closed for the day by the time I get it, so I had to wait til today to get it. The place isn't even open til noon, so I couldn't get it til lunch. I went there at about 12:05 and surprise surprise, it's not open yet. So I went and ate lunch and picked up the package on the way to class. Turns out it was my Wolfwood figure (*_*! I'll get to that in a minute), which made me quite happy, but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't my new glasses, which I had ordered almost three weeks ago....So I go to class (with Wolfwood, which greatly amused my professor XD), come home, and find a message on the machine. "Please come pick up your package." So I think: Package? I just GOT a package. They wouldn't call me about that, anyhoo. Don't even tell me.....
Sure enough, the glasses had been sitting in the package center since January 16th. NINE DAYS! I could have used me new prescription, thank you! The morons never put a slip in my mailbox. *ragerage* This is NOT the first time they've 'misplaced' my package, either. Last time, I didn't get a package that I'd had overnighted for almost a week while they tried to figure out where they put it. o_o##

I love my job. I needed to do an Illustrator project, so I borrowed the CD from work (with permission!) to install Illustrator 9 at home. Well, I forgot that the happy folks at Adobe fucked up something in the color settings, so if you install Illustrator 9 after installing Photoshop 6 you get a popup in Photoshop that says 'please reinstall me! Illustrator 9 messed me up!' so I just borrowed the Photoshop CD too. Nyo nyo nyo! XD It's kind of odd carrying a $600 CD around in my backpack. Heh.

Well, this blog is already hella long, so I think I will stop it. Ja~

Nothing like sitting at work in your pj's blogging in the dark.

Yes, it's 5 am. I've been up for an hour. I'm at work (even though LILT doesn't open til 8:30). Why? FUCKING FIRE ALARM. Rar. The Smith-1 gumi and I, being smarter than the rest of the building, found an unlocked door in nearby Stevenson Hall (where my lab is) and stayed in the warmth. It took a full half hour before anyone else figured this little trick out, and even then it was because one of the Powers That Be unlocked another door and told people to come on in. At that point they had figured out that there WAS actually a fire on some floors higher up, and since it was cold outside, they figured the 1000 of us should have somewhere warm to sit. Well, my butt started getting numb from sitting on the linoleum, so here I am, blogging and chatting on IRC in the dark. I didn't want to turn any lights on because then other people would try to come in the lab, andthat would be bad.

Hmm, it smells like cinnamon in here. Now THAT's odd O_o;

Well, they are letting us back in the building, so I think I will post this and try to salvage what sleep I can before my class at 8 @_o *cries*

Ok, before I go into my bloggy blog, I'd like to say that I'm going to find a computer-illiterate person that pissed me off and send them to sakurazukamori.net. To watch them attempting to get out of that fucking fullscreen mode would be quite amusing. I've never seen such an obnoxious, arrogant javascript. To assume that YOUR page is important enough that it can completely take over my screen is beyond rude. That's simply not worth my time; I don't care how pretty it looks or how good the content is. And I'm not going to go into the poor navigation yet again. I've wasted enough of my time trying to find the damned 'close' button. :P That, and I already lost another half hour of my life I'd like back from watching Devilman Lady >_<

Friday night Brian, Laura, and Gregly voyaged down here from the faraway land of Chicago. Saturday we all headed out to Champaign to have some anime club phun. Hanging out with Puunyu, Krisit, Gregly, Brian, Laura, and Matt was hella fun. Especially dinner at Chili's, where the title quote came from. Never, EVER, put Priya, Kristi and I at the same end of a table. We had more than a few almost-choking incidents due to laughing. We explored the ecchi possibilities of the following: mozzerella sticks, peppers, brownie a la mode, amaretto stone sour (with a cherry! H_H), and lots of other things. We learned that Priya enjoys her dessert more when it's vibrating, that Kristi prefers Hello Kitty condoms, and that Laura is MY woman, damnit! Ho ho ho!

After Chili's, we went back to U of I to DDR with Matt and friends. There were two PSX's set up; one with DDR Best Hits (or whatever it's called), and one with 3rd Mix, and both with two mostly-working pads. It was LOTS of fun. Thanks for having us, Matt!

Well, now it's Sunday and we're all getting mighty hungry, so I think I will stop blogging and go get food with Bri and Greg (Laura already went back to Addison.) So, I will see you later! Ja~~

Name that band! Woo. I am HELLA bored. I've been doing little except cruising EBay and lots and lots of Japanese homework. If I have to look at another 'tsumori' I think I will scream >_< So, I am taking a bloggy break.

I got paid! I got paid! WAIWAI! I finally have money. I also have twice as much money as I thought I would. Wow @_o So I celebrated by bidding on a Wolfwood doll on EBay. I want Vash to have someone to play with, damnit! ^_- The only problem is that the place where I cash checks is closed today. SO I have a ton of money but I can't buy anything. I REALLY have to get a checking account down here. :P Well, when I get my checks cashed, I have to get a money order, mail a couple letters and packages, and all will be good. Yay! I stopped in work today to pick up my paychecks, and I feel a bit better about starting work and class again. My class schedule is going to severely fuck with my work schedule, which is prolly a good thing. Less work=more study time. This semester my classes are all spread out, which makes it hard for me to schedule in work hours, since LILT is only open til 4:30. But since I amazingly will have but one class on Fridays, (after my short class finishes mid-February) I can pick up tons of hours then. It's not like I get any studying done on Fridays anyways....

I have a bruise on the second joint of my right ring finger, and it HURTS. Ow. </random>

So my classes this semester are as follows:

-Software Design in the Arts II
-Beginning Guitar
-Computer Arts Applications
-Social, Legal, and Ethical Issues in Information Technology
Totemo omoshiroii desu ne! But I have a feeling they're going to be hard. Fortunately, due to the nature of my classes, I spent a mere $90 on books. However, I have yet to get my supply list for Painting, and I am sure that it will prolly cost me in the neighborhood of $125 to start with, and I am prolly going to plunk down a good $50 for a couple good HTML books for Software Design II. Last semester I bought a Director 8 and Flash 4 book for Software Design I, and they are wonderful *_* So I don't mind laying out another $100 this semester. Let's hear it for texts I can actually USE! ^_-

Donna left to go out to eat with Nicole and her mom. I am HUNGRY! Cat said she'd get a pizza with me, but not til after JR leaves. Bah. *hungry!*

To being an us for once, instead of a them...la vie Boheme!

One more day...in 24 hours I will be happily back in my element at Illinois State. Yay! Away from the stress of here! But...shit, there is as much or more stress at school; it's just a different sort of stress. I feel kind of like the rock and the hard place are starting to grind towards each other, and I'm stuck in the middle. What do I want? -_-;

One thing I do know is how much I'm going to miss Greg. *sigh* At least I can get some work done ^_- just like Greg said in his blog.

One thing I'm NOT going to miss is my stupid older brother. It will be SO nice to have him 130 miles away again, for the first time since the spring of 98. His constant antagonistic behavior, childish selfishness, laziness, and constant stream of mocking and snide commentary on everything from my major to my looks is really draining, to say the least. I try to ignore him, but sometimes he gets to me too much. Today I got into a giant fight with him over my storage trunk that he had requisitioned and refused to unpack (even though he'd had a MONTH) and give back to me so I could use it to move back tomorrow. Well, that argument escalated into hime jumping me and almost landing a punch, and a muttered 'I could kill you, you know. Next time I will.' from him. And my mom wonders why I don't get along with him. Some things just don't change, and the battered state of my bedroom door reminds me of that every time I open it.

Oops o_o that just got a little too personal. Sorry bout that ^^; Feel free to ignore. I'll go back to my happy, genki mood now. After all, my problems are actually normal, so why bitch, ne? ^_-

Anyhoo, I'm going to stop rambling and regenkify for tonight. I have a lot of packing and such to do, but I'm going to ignore that fact and go out. After all, I do that EVERY time I go back to school, and I always make it on time ^_-
